Too Faced Peaches and Cream First Impressions

So, as you’ve probably seen from my September beauty wishlist, I was incredibly excited when I found out that Too Faced was coming out with another collection based on peaches. Let me just say, I absolutely love everything having to do with peaches! I love the smell of peaches, I love the taste of peaches, and I love peach makeup, so I absolutely had to get some of the collection. This is what I got!

Primed and Peachy

I have never actually bought a Too Faced primer. I did get their Hangover primer as a sample, though, and really liked it, so I decided to try out this one. It has the same smell as the rest of the collection which is amazing. You can definitely smell peaches like the other collection, but it’s not nearly as strong as the other one because the cream mixed in tones it down. When I tried it out on my hand, it blurred everything out perfectly, so I think that it will be great on my face.

Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation in Snow

I was actually kind of disappointed with this one. I got the lightest shade which works for me in their Born This Way Foundation, but this one was too dark for my skin tone. I was so disappointed because I was really looking forward to this one. I’m sure if you’re not really pale like me, though, it will work great!

Peach My Cheeks Blush in Peach Dreamย

I really like this so far. It’s pretty pigmented which is nice. It’s also a beautiful pale pink which I think will look awesome on my pale skin during the winter. The formula is supposed to be new. It’s really interesting because it feels creamy when you swirl your finger in it, but when it’s on your finger, it’s more powdery. They also have a highlighter and bronzer in this formula which I didn’t get.

Peach Kiss in Drunk Dial

I absolutely LOVE the look of this lipstick! The actual lipstick has peaches engraved on the sides which is so adorable!! The color itself is a really pretty berry tone which is so perfect for fall!

Just Peachy Mattes

I personally believe this is a great palette for travel since it’s all mattes, is small, and has a big mirror. The feel like the colors could be really pretty for fall, but they could also be used for all other seasons by showing casing certain colors. Plus, it smells great, but it’s not too overpowering like the Sweet Peach palette can be.

Colourpop Blotted Lip and Ultra Blotted Lip

Let me just say that I have had these lipsticks ever since they first came out, and I am still just as in love with them now as when I first got them. They are absolutely my favorite lipstick formula from Colourpop. I have three from the Blotted Lip collection and three (well, I had more, but I can’t seem to find them at the moment….) from the Ultra Blotted Lip (liquid lipstick). Here’s why I love them so much!

  • They don’t feel sticky.
  • They’re perfect for everyday.
  • They don’t feel drying on the lips (unlike the ultra matte formula).
  • They come in a wide range of colors.
  • They’re perfect for people who are starting to get into lipstick since they leave nice tint that’s not too overpowering.
  • They’re buildable.
  • They’re SO affordable!

The only problems I’ve had with them so far is that the blotted lip transfers a little (not a problem with the ultra blotted lip) which really isn’t that bad!

Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipstick

*You can also check out my new video for lip swatches here!

From the time I heard that Beauty and the Beast was being made into a live action film, I was looking forward to MAC’s Beauty and the Beast collection. Unfortunately….it has not come. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Lorac had in fact come out with their own Beauty and the Beast collection, so I ran over to Ulta and came out with their lipstick collection. Here’s what I think so far!

  • The lipsticks themselves are in absolutely beautiful colors and range from a dusty, light pink to red as a rose (sorry, I had to).
  • They’re in a cream finish that goes on really smooth and literally makes you feel like you have nothing on your lips, which I love.
  • They are also moderate coverage, so I’ve found them (especially Belle-ieve and Savoir Faire) to be great everyday lipsticks.
  • They are $36 US for all five lipsticks which is supposed to be a $95 value according to the box they came in, and I definitely feel like they are worth the price.
  • The packaging is beautiful!

So….now to some swatches! (don’t laugh at my attempted flower ๐Ÿ˜€ )

Valentine’s Day Haul

I’m cringing a bit inside because I know how late this post is (my flowers have already started wilting), but it’s only beenย a week since Valentine’s day, right? ….right.

Anyway, as probably none of you know, my boyfriend is currently living halfway across the world, so we have to get creative when it comes to gift giving. Mostly, we use Amazon and Etsy since they mostly ship around the world. However, we have been known to look up cupcake delivery places nearby and get them sent to each other (he also does the same with flowers).

I’m getting off track again. This year, he sent me some really great stuff that I’m really excited about and thought I would share with you lovely people.

First of all, you should know that I have recently become obsessed with taking baths. I just find them so incredibly relaxing, and new relaxation techniques are definitely something I need this semester with my college schedule (Seriously, it’s been awful.). Along with my new found love of baths, I have really started to enjoy using bath bombs. Since this is a fairly new guilty pleasure of mine, I don’t know too much about the brands and the different types, other than Lush, but I love them all the same.

These particular bath bombs came from a brand called HanZa. They come in a gift set of 8 on Amazon, and each one has a different name based on, what I am assuming is, the effect you are supposed to receive from it: Restore, Balance, Euphoria, etc. (except for Pink, not sure how that name got in there). They’ve received about 4.5 starts on Amazon, and I have to agree that they are pretty awesome. So far I’ve only used Pink which is supposed to smell like Cotton Candy, and I was impressed with it. The smell wasn’t quite there for me on that particular one, but it still smelled wonderful and left my skin feeling smooth and moisturized. From the card it came with, it appears that they also only use natural and organic ingredients when making them which is always a plus.

My second set of bath bombs came from a company called Enhance Me, and they are from the Hearts & Love Bath Bomb collection. All six of these bath bombs were created to symbolize different aspects of love, which definitely made for some interesting names, and they have little hearts in them which I though was a cute touch. As far as the bath bombs themselves, they definitely smell amazing. I’d say they smell even better than the other ones. They are made with shea butter and organic palm oil whichย is supposed to make your skin feel very soft and moisturized. I have not had a chance to try one of these yet, but I plan on doing so very soon. I’ll hopefully give an update on how they turned out.

Also fairly recently, I have started becoming slightly obsessed with lipstick, more specifically liquid lipstick, and ColourPop has definitely been my go to brand. Since I’m kind of new to lipstick, I’ve found ColourPop to be a great place to start. For one, their prices are amazing for someone one a budget (like me) who just wants to try as many as possible. Plus, the color choices are great, and they usually last as long as I need them to.

This particular Valentine’s Day collection came with five mini liquid lipsticks. Two of them were the Ultra Satin Lips, two were Ultra Matte, and one was Ultra Glossy. Personally, I really loved this collection because there was a pretty great color and finish range. It’s how I found out how truly awesome the Ultra Satin lipsticks are. They don’t feel nearly as drying as the Ultra Matte lips, and they still have great color payoff.

Anyway, I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day (even though it was a week ago) and week ahead!
